Rising Chivhu actress dies

CHIKOMBA – Rising actressTsitsi Mhlanga (38) who became an instant hit through her role as a pastor’s wife in the film Village Secrets is no more.
Tsitsi who was also a teacher at Runyararo Primary School in Chivhu died at Gweru General Hospital on May 1, 2022 having been admitted there for a week.
Village Secretes is a local movie shot in the small farming town of Chivhu which went international immediately after it was released.
Yonny Mhlanga, a sister to the late Tsitsi confirmed the death and described the deceased as a kind woman.
Village Secretes Director, Leonard Chibhamu said the cast had lost a key pillar. She was buried in Chivhu.
“We are shattered by the loss because Tsitsi was such a beautiful soul, she was an incredible human being who made us all happy. We are greatly saddened by Tsitsi’s departure,” said Yonny.
“As Village Secretes we have lost one of our pillars. We are greatly saddened by the loss. We started working with Mhlanga in 2019 when she took the role of Mai Mufundisi and she did exceptionally well,” said Chibhamu.
