Mliswa to herald Beitbridge Leadership Summit

BEITBRIDGE- Norton Constituency MP Temba Mliswa will be the main speaker at the inaugural one-day Beitbridge Leadership Summit to be held at Purple Heart in the border town on August 27, 2022.
The summit is organised by Sundrive Coalition. It is expected to draw 500 delegates including captains of industry and church leaders. Members of the public are invited to attend by getting in touch with the organisers on 0777 868 740 and 0719 868 740.
Those in business are being invited to come and gain skills in leadership.
Powerful speakers will come from different sectors including politics sports, business and religion, with the most notable being professional footballer Willard Katsande, business director Dr Audrey Mabveni and ZAOGA provincial overseer Givemore Tomu.
Sundrive Coalition director Innocent Chenjerai confirmed the programme in an interview with Two Nations this week and said that the initiative by his organisation which started in 2019 is to transform youth in business so that they optimize opportunities and capacities.
With that in mind, there is a realization that the key to the mission is to develop leadership skills among the youths hence the summit and its theme; The Shift – Transforming leaders into agents of change.
The programme is expected to start at 5 pm on August 27, and end at around pm on the same day. It will come up with actionable concepts.
Topics to be tackled are; understanding life purpose, maximising time and potential, discipline and character, identifying future opportunities, leaders for society and influencing people, said Chenjerai.
“The leadership summit will be deliberation of actionable ideas, actionable concepts, leadership principles and inspiration. We need to transform our youths in business and the community at large, whilst transforming peoples’ lives,” said Chenjerai.
Katsande now operates Katsande Partners and Boss Yamboka while Dr Mabveni is the executive director for Zimbabwe Sugar Association Experiment Station (ZSAES).
