Kapeta is the new Tongogara RDC chairman

SHURUGWI-Tongogara Rural District Council has elected Golden Kapeta as the new council chairman. 

Kapeta was elected during a special full council meeting held in the council boardroom on Tuesday.

Kapeta has been acting chairperson since the resignation of Ward 3 councillor Tamiswa Njovana last year.

District Development Coordinator Romeo Shangwa confirmed the development to The Mirror.

“I can confirm that Golden Kapeta who is Shurugwi North Ward 18 councillor has been elected as the new council chairman following the resignation of Ward 3 councillor Njovana. 

“We hope to work hard and target the 2030 vision. Councillor Norman Sibindi of Ward 24 has been elected vice council chairman replacing Kapeta who was the vice chairman since 2018,” said Shangwa.https://twonations.co.zw/
