Muzvidziwa is represented by Jabulani Mzinyathi of Garikayi and Company Legal Practitioners with Herentals being represented by its Internal Auditor Abel Kahove of Mufakose, Harare.

Muzvidziwa was employed by Herentals from December 15, 2021 to May 27, 2022, and her duties included receipting cash at the school, banking and remitting it.

Prosecutor Pithey Magumula told the court that the total amount received during the period is R548 835 and R494 608 was banked. The remaining R54 197 is unaccounted for.

It is the State case that during her employment Muzvidziwa allegedly embezzled R54 197 on eight different dates and the matter was discovered by Kahove when he conducted an audit on June 27, 2022.

Mzinyathi told the court the case is premised on poor accounting systems.
