Beitbridge Business Expo gets stand

BEITBRIDGE – Municipality of Beitbridge (MOB) has allocated Beitbridge Business Expo a commercial stand to use as a showground. The expo has been using Dulivhadzimu Stadium for its programs.
Town Clerk Loud Ramakgapola confirmed the development to two Nations. He said they will operate a 50% partnership with the expo community.
Ramakgapola added that there are awaiting to put the final touches to the agreement.
“We had a meeting with Beitbridge Business Expo members were we agreed to have a 50% partnership on a lease space for Expo showground. The lease was agreed to last for the next 25 years and renewed after every five years thereafter. We are now waiting to have another meeting with our partners for the final touches for our lease,” he said.
Beitbridge is one of the few districts in the country which did not have a showground.
Expo chairperson, Dr Annah Muleya said,
“This was the dream and hope for my committee to have Expo at our own show ground, but the municipality is now at an advanced stage in allocating the land to us, so again we are hopeful, and we dare to dream that next year we will meet our exhibitors in the new Beitbridge Expo showgrounds,” said the Chairperson of Beitbridge Business Expo, Dr Annah Muleya during the 2023 business expo which was held at Dulivhadzimu stadium on July, 2023.
“We are pushing so hard, so that by the end of this year will have our own show ground,” she continue saying.
Upon being interviewed The Beitbridge Town Clerk Loud Ramakhaphula said the land for a showground is already allocated and they are only waiting to have another meeting for the final touches of their 50%-50% partnership with Beitbridge Business Expo.
“On May 10, 2023 we had a meeting with Beitbridge Business Expo members were we agreed to have a 50%-50% partnership on a lease space for Expo show ground. The lease was agreed to last for the coming 25 years and renewed after every 5 years,” said Town Clerk, Ramakhaphula.
